Jönköping Symphony Orchestra is seeking two violin positions, Violin 1 Tutti & Violin 2 Tutti, for a varied repertoire ranging from symphonic music to stage productions and chamber music. Join us to collaborate with leading conductors and soloists in a creative environment at Kulturhuset Spira.

The Role of Violin Tutti

Jönköping Symphony Orchestra is seeking two violin positions:

• Violin 1 Tutti
• Violin 2 Tutti

We offer a permanent position with a probationary period, full-time.

Please note: Jönköping Symphony Orchestra will determine which section the candidate is invited to audition for after the initial audition.

Your Future Workplace

Jönköping Symphony Orchestra is a dynamic young orchestra consisting of 31 musicians and an integrated part of Kulturhuset Spira, a vibrant performing arts center. Kulturhuset Spira offers symphonic music, opera, musicals, theater, dance productions, children's and youth productions, as well as chamber music. We collaborate with leading Nordic and international conductors, soloists, directors, and choreographers.

Since 2023, Johannes Gustavsson has been the Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of Jönköping Symphony Orchestra.

Our home stage is Kulturhuset Spira, whose concert hall boasts fantastic acoustics. We also tour regularly throughout the region.

Application

The application deadline is August 2, 2026. You submit your application via the link below.
The audition will take place over two days, September 3-4, 2026.

Repertoire:

• Round 1: Mozart Violin Concerto No. 4 or 5 without cadenza
• Round 2: Romantic concerto (Beethoven, Brahms, Sibelius, or Tchaikovsky) with cadenza
• Round 3: Mozart: String Quartet No. 17, 1st movement

During the ensemble audition, all applicants will play Violin 2.
